City Offering Free Sandbags Ahead of Storms

Ahead of a heavy rains expected to hit Richmond over the next three to five days, Richmond’s Public Works Department is offering free sandbags, and residents with disabilities are eligible for delivery. 

Those living in areas prone to flooding are invited to stop by any of the two pick up locations to fill sandbags and take them home, at no cost. 

Residents can pick up sandbags at:
1. Richmond Fire Station #64, Carlson Blvd. and Bay View Ave., Richmond

2. City Corporation Yard, Harbour Way and Ohio Ave., Richmond 

Residents with disabilities in need of delivery are urged to call: (510) 231-3011
