Dear Elected Officials:

Thank you for attending the rallies, walks, marches, and community meetings against gun violence in the City of Richmond, California. But Richmond residents need you to do more. For example, we need you to improve the quality of education in our neighborhood schools, so our children can reach their full potential. We also need you to bring well-paying jobs that do not require a college degree back to the City of Richmond, so we can provide for our families. 

In other words, we need you to give us real hope. Hope for our lives, hope for our families, and hope for our community. If you do this, you will see a drastic — and more importantly lasting — reduction in gun violence and other crime in the City of Richmond. Thank you very much.
