"Amnesia" at the East Bay Center for Performing Arts
What: The play “Amnesia” opens at the East Bay Center for Performing Arts 
When: Friday, February 27th, from 8 pm to 10 pm
Where: The East Bay Center for Performing Arts, 339 11th Street, Richmond
Why: Offering some of the best performances in the city — and all of the East Bay — the East Bay Center’s play “Amnesia” explores issues of race and migration through dance, theatre, and spoken word.

WCCUSD Accountability Plan Community Town Hall Meetings
What: A discussion on the WCCUSD’s Local Control Accountability Plan, open to the public
When: Saturday, February 28th, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Where: Peres Elementary School, 719 5th Street, Richmond 
Why: This meeting, the second of three scheduled for this year, is a chance for parents, teachers, and all involved stakeholders to discuss issues pertinent to the school district.

Martial Arts Skills for Free
What: Organized by the Richmond Main Street Initiative, this free karate class taught by Master Taylor is open to anyone 6 years of age and older
When: Saturday, February 28th, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
Where: BBK Center for Health and Healing, 310 9th Street, Richmond
Why: Promoting self-confidence, strong character, and strong will, this karate class is good for the body and the mind.

Tad Worku Love is All Concert
What: A musical celebration of love from Tad Worku and featuring the Oakland East Bay Symphony.
When: Saturday, February 28th, from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Where: The Craneway Pavilion, 1414 Harbour Way South, Richmond
Why: After Tad Worku sold out Yoshi’s in San Francisco, the genre-defying artist gathered a few more musicians from the Oakland Easy Bay Symphony for a night of music at the Craneway. Proceeds go to free medical and dental clinic for the clients of multiple local homeless shelters.
