What: The third annual Walk to Nature event, a scenic walk to Keller Beach in Point Richmond.
When: Saturday, August 29th from 9:30 pm to 4 pm
Where: Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline, 900 Dornan Drive, Richmond
Why: A chance to enjoy nature, meet neighbors, and enjoy a healthy walk, the third annual Walk to Nature event is an easy way to get out of the house for a little adventure.

What: Blue Lizzard performs at The Baltic
When: Saturday, August 29th, at 9:30 pm
Where: The Baltic, 135 Park Place, Point Richmond
Why: Blue Lizzard rocks the Baltic. Come out for some live jams and good brews.

Martial Arts Skills for Free
What: Organized by the Richmond Main Street Initiative, this free karate class taught by Master Taylor is open to anyone 6 years of age and older
When: Saturday, August 29th, from 10 am to 11 am
Where: BBK Center for Health and Healing, 310 9th Street, Richmond 
Why: Promoting self-confidence, strong character, and strong will, this karate class is good for the body and the mind.

Free English Class
What: A free, 12-week English language course 
When: Monday, August 31st, from 9:30 am to 11:30 pm
Where: Catholic Charities of the East Bay, 217 Harbour Way, Richmond
Why: The ability to speak English is a make or break skill for many in the United States. These free classes are intended to help people feel more confident in their English ability in order to succeed.

Zumba on Main Street
What:  Richmond Main Street Initiative’s weekly free Zumba class
When: Thursday, September 3rd, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Where:  BBK Center for Health and Healing, 310 9th Street, Richmond
Why: Zumba is a fun, high-energy dance workout, and Richmond Main Street Initiative’s regular Thursday classes are a great time to learn a few moves while burning some calories.
