Familias Unidas’ Dia De Los Muertos Event
What: An evening celebrating Dia De Los Muertos by the Familias Unidas community organization which benefits local latino families.
When: Friday, October 24th, from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Where: 2540 Barrett Avenue, Richmond
Why: Celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Dia De Los Muertos and the 35th anniversary of Familias Unidas, this even celebrate latino heritage past and present.

Richmond Green Festival
What: The 5th annual Richmond Green Festival, a day of planting flowers, vegetables, and more at the Neighborhood House of North Richmond.
When: Saturday, October 25th, at 8:15 am
Where: 515 Silver Avenue, Richmond
Why: Pony rides, live music, and a morning of community-based environmental activism makes the Richmond Green Festival a crucial event for the Richmond community.

Women & Girls Annual Conference and Networking
What: North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministry presents an afternoon of women-empowered networking.
When: Saturday, October 25th, from 10 am to 1 pm
Where: 1427 Fred Jackson Way, North Richmond
Why: This annual conference will include important conversations such diverse topics as women in business, human trafficking, social media, and more.

28th annual walk/run to end homelessness
What: The annual 5K event to end homelessness in Contra Costa County
When: Saturday, October 18th, from 12 pm to 6 pm
Where: 450 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond.
Why: As the largest fundraising event in West Contra Costa County, the walk to end homeless, organized by the Greater Richmond Interfaith Program (GRIP), promises to be a day of community activism and determination to end homeless in our county.

RAC Skeletonfest
What: 
Skeletonfest Art-Making Celebration
When: Saturday, October 25, from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm
Where: Richmond Art Center, 2540 Barrett Avenue, Richmond
Why: A creative and festive afternoon is planned where the whole family can create, see and learn about the unique multicultural traditions of Halloween and Day of the Dead. Plus, the event is free, so everyone can enjoy the festivities.

RPALoween
What: A Halloween party organized by the Richmond Police Actives League (RPAL)
When: Saturday, October 25th, from 7 pm to Midnight
Where: RPAL Hal Holt Memorial Gymnasium, 2200 MacDonald Avenue, Richmond
Why: With costume contests for best man, woman, and couple, a DJ, and a great cause, the RPALoween is the perfect way to kick off the week before Halloween.

Zumba on Main Street
What: The weekly free Zumba class organized by the Richmond Main Street Initiative.
When: Monday, October 27th, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
Where: 310 9th Street, Richmond
Why: A fun, high-intensity workout, Zumba gets the blood flowing and shakes out the mid-day grogginess. Stop by on your lunch break to put some pep (and rhythm) in your afternoon.

What: An evening of live jazz performances at The Baltic
