Discover What the Point Is

What:  Point to Point Richmond, a monthly pop-up event in Point Richmond featuring a wide array of events and vendors to inspire creative thinking

When: Saturday, July 19th from 2 pm to 6 pm

Where: Washington Ave. and West Richmond Ave., Point Richmond

Why: Where else can you find BBQ right next to an interactive booth for making personalized clocks? Over 15 unique vendors will be there, each offering their own hands-on experience.

The League of Women Voters Gets Together

What: The annual meeting of the West Contra Costa County League of Women Voters

When: Saturday, July 19th from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm

Where: Restaurante La Revolución, 3190 Klose Way, Richmond

Why: At the 2014 meeting of the League of Women Voters elections will be held and latin-fusion specialties will be consumed.

Make Some Kefir

What: A monthly event to learn how to brew kefir, the bacteria found in kombucha.

When: Saturday, July 19th from 12:30 pm to 2 pm

Where: Natural Healing Tree Women's Wellness Center, 124 Washington Ave., Richmond

Why: Because drinking fungus is good for you! And once you learn how to make it from home, you'll never be without probiotic-filled beverages again.

What: An event organized by Sister 2 Sister ministry to educate about women's health and how to financially plan for the future.

When: Saturday, July 19th from 10 am to 1 pm

Why: Sister 2 Sister ministry provides a free opportunity for education about health and financial matters, and Dr. Roche will offer words of encouragement to attendees.
