From the National Park Service:

Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park seeks dedicated volunteers to join their team in assisting rangers at the Visitor Center, orienting visitors to the park, providing informal interpretation of historical resources, and participating in special events.

Please note--Prior to starting volunteer responsibilities, each volunteer must attend two three-hour training sessions on Saturdays April 16 and April 30th, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  Volunteers at the park must agree to a one-year commitment and a minimum of 8 hours per month. National Park Volunteer uniform shirts are provided.

To reserve your spot in our training program, please contact Allison Joyce at [email protected] or 510-232-5050 x 6632. If you cannot attend the above training but are interested in future training opportunities, please let us know.

The park, located in the wartime boomtown of Richmond, California, preserves and interprets the stories and places of our Nation’s Home Front response to World War II.

The Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park Visitor Education Center is open seven days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM and is located 1414 Harbour Way South, CA 94804. Admission to the Visitor Center and all park sites and programs is free. To learn more you can visit the park website at www.nps.gov/rori .
