Richmond Post: League of Women Voters & BART Present “Building a Better BART” Townhall, Nov. 13

blogimage.jpgThe League of Women Voters of West Contra Costa County in partnership with BART present “Building a Better BART”—A Presentation Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Richmond City Council Chambers, 440 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

“It’s no surprise that traffic becomes gridlocked when BART trains aren’t running. That point was made painfully clear during two BART strikes during 2013 – both of which curtailed the commute for millions of drivers.

There’s another significant issue the media isn’t talking about, which could have an even greater impact on your daily commute than a strike if BART doesn’t resolve the matter soon?

Join Zakhary Mallett and Rebecca Saltzman, two of the nine elected members of the agency’s Board of Directors for a sneak peek behind the scenes on what it takes to run BART and keep traffic moving in the decades to come.

Food and refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to [email protected]
