Revo Fridays at La Revolucion
What: Restaurante La Revolucion’s regular Friday night Latin dance party
When: Friday, November 14th, from 9:30 pm to 1:45 am
Where: Restaurante La Revolucion, 3190 Klose Way, Richmond
Why: Revo Fridays are the biggest Latin dance parties in Richmond. Head over to La Revolution for a night of music and dance.
Free Bike Fix
What: An afternoon of getting your bike fixed up — for free
When: Saturday, November 15th, at noon
Where: The main branch of the library, 325 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond
Why: Bikes are fun and are an environmentally healthy way to get around, but they can be expensive when they break. Fortunately, this event organizes bike experts in the area to fix your bike for free.
Martial Arts Skills for Free
What: Organized by the Richmond Main Street Initiative, this free class taught by Master Taylor is open to anyone 6 years of age and older
When: Saturday, November 15th 2014, from 10:00am to 11:00am
Where: 310 9th Street, Richmond
Why: Promoting self-confidence, strong character, and strong will, these karate classes are good for the body and mind.
Closing Reception at RAC
What: The closing reception of the Richmond Art Center’s Richard Diebenkorn exhibit
When: Sunday, November 16th, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Where: Richmond Art Center, 2540 Barrett Avenue, Richmond
Why: “Closely Considered,” the exhibition of Richard Diebenkorn’s work drew a record number of attendees to its opening reception. As the show winds down, take one last stroll through the gallery and enjoy the unique collection.
Wine & Networking
What: An annual mixer from the Richmond Main Street Initiative to socialize and enjoy generous servings of wine
When: Tuesday, November 18th 2014, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Where: 339 11th Street, Richmond
Why: There is always room for your professional network to grow, and after a couple of glasses of wine the connections will surely come with ease.
Walking Through Art
What: The regular Third Thursday Art Walk in Point Richmond
When: Thursday, November 20th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: 38 Washington Avenue, Point Richmond
Why: Gallery doors are open to the public during Third Thursday events. Head over to Point Richmond to mingle and check out art work in the area.
