Bobbie Love & Sugar Sweet
What: Restaurante La Revolucion’s regular Friday night Latin dance party

Where: The Baltic, 135 Park Place, Point Richmond
Why: Come out to the Baltic for the 50’s-era stylings of Bobbie Love & Sugar Sweet! They’re on stage for one night only, and it is sure to be a sock-hopping good time.

Deck the Walls 2!
What: NIAD’s second annual holiday art gallery and sale is now open!
When: Now through Tuesday, December 23rd
Where: NIAD Art Center, 551 23rd Street, Richmond
Why: The artists at NIAD produce some of the most inventive and unique art in the area. Drop by the gallery to see their work and purchase a piece or two. All proceeds go to supporting the artists and the organization.

Salute Thanksgiving
What: Every year, Salute E Vita Ristorante hosts a Thanksgiving meal for families in the area.
When: Thursday, November 28th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Where: Salute E Vita Ristorante, 1900 Esplanade Drive, Richmond
Why: The owner of Salute, Menbere Aklilu, was penniless when she moved here from Italy in 1995. Aklilu had many people help her establish her restaurant, and every Thanksgiving she gives back to the community to show her thanks and offer meals for those who would otherwise go without.
