The seven candidates running for seats on the West Contra Costa County Unified School District Board of Education in the Nov. 8 election have been invited to participate in a series of three forums jointly hosted by the League of Women Voters of West Contra Costa County and the District.

There are two seats and seven candidates on the ballot. The forums are scheduled to take place on the following dates:

Monday, September 19, 2016, at 6:30 p.m.

DeJean Middle School

3400 Macdonald Ave., Richmond

Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 6:30 p.m.

Pinole Middle School

1575 Mann Drive, Pinole

Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at 6:30 p.m.

Korematsu Middle School

7125 Donal Ave., El Cerrito

The League of Women Voters will determine the format and provide moderators and timekeepers for these events.
