Local non-profit For Richmond is partnering with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to offer the first-ever "For Richmond Summer Internship Program" starting in June 2015.

The deadline to apply is fast approaching. Here is what you need to know:

What: A paid internship opportunity at BART for students who live in Richmond and are currently enrolled in a West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) high school or at Contra Costa Community College. The position will be 20 hours per week beginning June 22nd and ending August 14th.
When: Applications must be submitted by midnight on May 22nd

"We are excited to team up with BART on this innovative program, which is designed to give students real-world work experience while they explore a variety of professional areas," said For Richmond Executive Director Kyra Worthy. "We want to expose youth to viable career paths with the hopes of igniting their interest."
