Paying for tuition through piecemeal scholarships, grants, and student loans is often the only way students can afford college.
Fortunately, high school seniors within West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) are eligible to apply for a scholarship of anywhere between $1,000 and $5,000, which will make higher education a little more affordable.
The scholarship, from the local nonprofit Ed Fund, is available for up to 70 current WCCUSD high school seniors with GPAs of 2.0 or higher and who have demonstrated financial need.
Click here to apply for the scholarship. The deadline to apply is March 3, and scholarships will be available for the fall 2016 school year.
