Charlotte’s Web at Masquers Playhouse
What: The community theater group premiers their latest production, E.B White’s “Charlotte’s Web”
When: Friday, October 2 at 8 pm, and Saturday, October 3, at 7 pm
Where: Masquers Playhouse, 105 Park Place, Richmond
Why: Taking on the unconventional love story between a pig and a protective spider, the Masquers Playhouse adaption of the classic tale is fun for the whole family.
North Richmond Shoreline Festival 2015
What: The annual celebration in Point Pinole of the local nature and community
When: Saturday, October 3, from 11 am to 5 pm
Where: Point Pinole Regional Shoreline Park 5551 Giant Highway, Richmond
Why: Free food, fun walks through nature, live music, and much more — the North Richmond Shoreline Festival is one of the most fun festivals the city has to offer in one of the most beautiful settings.
Fall Gala at the East Bay Center
What: The fall gala at the East Bay Center for Performing Arts
When: Saturday, October 3, from 6 pm to 9 pm
Where: The East Bay Center for Performing Arts, 11th Street at Macdonald Avenue, Richmond
Why: A celebration of the diverse, innovative work of the East Bay Center, this fall gala is a time to reflect on the season past and raise funds for the shows ahead while enjoying performances from nearly 50 local students.
Zydeco Dance Night
What: A night of dancing to Zydeco music from local musician Andre Thierry
When: Saturday, October 3, from 6:30 pm to 10 pm
Where: Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond
Why: Presented by the city’s Committee on Aging, this Zydeco dance event brings together Richmond dancers young and old for a night of fun.
The Long Raiders Perform at The Baltic
What: Local act The Long Raiders puts on a show at The Baltic
When: Saturday, October 3 from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm
Where: The Baltic, 135 Park Place, Point Richmond
Why: The Baltic brings out some of the best local music around. Stop by for good tunes and tasty brews.
Freshest Cargo: Mobile Farmers' Market
What: The mobile farmers’ market Freshest Cargo makes its rounds in Richmond
When: Wednesday, October 7, from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Where: Various locations. From 10 am to 11:30, the truck will be at the YMCA located at 263 South 20th Street. From 12 pm to 1:30, the truck will be at Chelsey Ave at Fred Jackson Way in North Richmond. From 2 to 3:30, the truck will be at the Parchester Community Center located at 900 Williams Drive, Richmond

Zumba on Main Street
What: The Richmond Main Street Initiative’s weekly Zumba class, taught by Willa 'Bontle' Willis

Where: BBK Center for Health and Healing, 310 9th Street, Richmond
Why: A fun, easy way to get a work out, these Zumba classes make exercise accessible to all of Richmond.
