Gingerbread Houses at RAC
What: A holiday arts and crafts event for kids 6-12 to make gingerbread houses
When: Saturday, December 12, from 10 am to 3 pm
Where: Richmond Art Center, 2540 Barrett Ave, Richmond
Why: With the holiday season in full swing, a kid-crafted gingerbread house is the perfect thing to add a little extra holiday spirit.

Sharing the Spirit
What: A weekend-long showcase of performances at the East Bay Center for Performing Arts 
When: Saturday, December 12, from 11 am to 3 pm and Sunday, December 13, from 12 pm to 4 pm
Where: East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, 339 11th Street at Macdonald Avenue, downtown Richmond
Why: The East Bay Center attracts some of the greatest performing talent of the East Bay, and this weekend is your opportunity to see their latest acts.

Why: Tree decorating, toy giveaways, arts & crafts, and more — the RYSE Winter Wonderland festival is a time to build connections in the community and celebrate the holidays.

18th Annual Senior Winter Ball
What: A night of dinner and dancing for the city’s senior community
When: Saturday, December 12, from 6:30 pm to 10 pm
Where: Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza
Why: A chance for the city’s senior community to come together and celebrate the holidays, the Senior Winter Ball offers live music and a night of fun.

Freshest Cargo: Mobile Farmers' Market
What: The mobile farmers’ market Freshest Cargo makes its rounds in Richmond
When: Wednesday, December 16, from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Where: Various locations. From 10 am to 11:30, the truck will be at the YMCA located at 263 South 20th Street. From 12 pm to 1:30, the truck will be at Chelsey Ave at Fred Jackson Way in North Richmond. From 2 to 3:30, the truck will be at the Parchester Community Center located at 900 Williams Drive, Richmond
