What: Richmond’s 5th annual Major Taylor Bike Fiesta
When: Saturday, June 13th, from 11 am to 3 pm
Where: Lincoln Elementary School, 29 6th Street, Richmond
Why: Bike powered smoothies, free bike locks, and enough educational experiences for the whole family, the annual Bike Fiesta is a unique opportunity to learn what it takes to bike safely and responsibly.

Hermosas Criatures at NIAD
What: A new ceramics exhibition by Julio Del Rio at NIAD
When: Saturday, June 13th, from 12:30 pm to 3 pm
Where: NIAD Art Center, 551 23rd Street, Richmond
Why: NIAD provides resources and venues for artists with disabilities to refine and showcase their art, and Julio Del Rio is the premier ceramicists at the Center.

Summer Exhibitions Open at RAC
What: The summer exhibitions open at the Richmond Art Center
When: Saturday, June 13th, from 3 pm to 5 pm
Where: Richmond Art Center, 2540 Barrett Avenue, Richmond 
Why: The Richmond Art Center provides a venue like no other for local artists to display their work, and the grand openings of exhibitions are great opportunities to mingle among the artwork

Point 2 Point Richmond
What: Point 2 Point Richmond, an open event of art exhibitions, holds their first event of the season
When: Saturday, June 13th, from 4 pm to 7 pm
Where: Point Richmond 
Why: Point 2 Point opens up hidden areas of Point Richmond for everyone to enjoy. Come out to get a behind the scenes tour of Masquers Playhouse, peruse the work of local artists, and get to know Point Richmond in a new way.

A Community Design Showcase
What: A powerhouse collaboration between Groundwork Richmond, the City, and over a dozen other organizations to design an eight block park.
When: Sunday, June 14th, from 2 pm to 6 pm
Where: S. 6th and S. 16th at Ohio Avenue along the Richmond Greenway, Richmond
Why: This collaboration is one of the biggest group design ventures that the city has ever seen. Come out to contribute your ideas and help build a park.

Juneteenth at the Library
What: The Richmond Public Library’s annual Juneteenth celebration
When: Tuesday, June 16th, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Where: Richmond Public Library Bayview Branch, 5100 Hartnett Avenue, Richmond
Why: With raffles, hotdogs, music, and more, the library’s Juneteenth celebration is a fun start to the city’s celebrations.
