Skrillex comes to Richmond

What: International DJ and renown head thrasher Skrillex is coming to the Craneway for a Halloween of smashing beats and disorienting rhythms.
When: Friday, October 31st, from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Why: Between his long, greasy locks and unnerving electronic music, Skrillex may be the ultimate in Halloween entertainment.

Restoring plants on the Bay Trail
What: A morning of plant restoration and bay beautification.
When: Saturday, November 1st, from 10 am to 1 pm
Where: Point Isabel, 2701 Isabel Street, Richmond
Why: Continuing their mission to restore plants along the Bay Trail, Jane and Tom Kelly are inviting the public to come out and rejuvenate the natural flora of Point Isabel.

Endless pancakes
What: An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from the North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church
When: Saturday, November 1st, from 10 am to 12:30 pm
Where: North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church, 1427 Fred Way, Richmond
Why: Serving as a benefit for the church, and as a good excuse to over-indulge in pancakes, the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is a win-win for everyone involved.

1st Saturdays at the RAC
What: A guided tour of the Richmond Art Center galleries and a hands-on art making event.
When: Saturday, November 1st, from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

What: The 5th Annual Halloween Charity Party benefiting the Child Foundation.

Why: With a costume contest, a live DJ, and an open bar, this halloween party offers everything the holiday is about while benefiting local children in poverty.

What: Your chance to go to the polls and cast your vote!
When: Tuesday, November 4th. Most polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm

Why: Between WCCUSD elections, City Council and the Mayoral election, much will be determined by the votes cast on this day.

Jamming at the Baltic
What: An evening of jamming music at The Baltic
When: Tuesday, November 4th, from 9:00 pm to 11 pm.
Where: The Baltic, 135 Park Place, Point Richmond
Why: Inviting regulars, first-timers, and any soul brave enough to grab an instrument, this Tuesday’s jam sessions will offer a great reprieve from the stress of election season. Cast your vote then head out to The Baltic for a brew and some live music.
