Richmond kicks off Independence Day celebrations one day early, as usual, with two great options for music and fireworks.
Families looking for outdoor fun can enjoy live blues and DJ music at Marina Bay Park. There will be a kid’s fun zone with children’s games, as well as food vendors and a great view of the city’s fireworks show.
Just over at the Craneway Pavilion, Michael Morgan will once again conduct the renowned Oakland East Bay Symphony. Adjacent restaurant Assemble will be open from 5pm-9pm (reservations recommended). Inside the Pavilion, concert-goers can enjoy food from Albyak Mediterranean Restaurant and Ebbett’s Good To Go – the food truck that just won San Francisco Magazine’s Best Food Truck of 2015.
Both celebrations will culminate with the City of Richmond’s fireworks display, which is spitting distance from either concert.
